Sir John Perceval, Earl of Egmont (1683-1748) was the first president of the Trustees of Georgia. He was born in county Cork, Ireland and was educated at Westminster School in London and at Magdalen College in Oxford. In 1703, he was elected to the Irish House of Commons for County Cork.
